We had a great time at Emily and Joe’s wedding. The Red Barn is an awesome reception venue with a house right next door for getting ready. It was a quick drive from the Holiday Inn Express where we stayed. As a photographer, I loved all the different angles I was able to access for photos. There is a balcony on one end with a room where the guys were getting ready, and it was a nice spot to get up high when I needed a better view. The space is extremely customizable for different sized groups, so couples can have their own unique setup. I think everyone was happy that the barn had air conditioning, especially for a mid-July wedding. If I had to think of one thing I didn’t like, it would only be that all of the (beautiful) trees surrounding the area made golden hour photos impossible for this time of year. If you’re a couple wondering if you should book the venue, I say go for it! If you’re a photographer preparing for an upcoming event, you’ll have a great time and plenty of photo opportunities.
